About Me

I discovered traditional rug hooking in 2000 while attending the Indiana State Fair with my sons.  It was here that I met Bev Stewart and after my first class with her I was hooked! 

My professional career prompted a move to Columbus, Ohio in 2007.  Once settled I searched for a rug crafter's community and found a wonderful local group known as the Ladies of the Wool and the Buckeye Rug Hooking Guild of which I am still an active member today.  Fellowship, creating, and sharing this craft with the long-enduring friendships made over the years is my fabric of life. I have served the Buckeye Rug Hooking Guild as Vice-President and Education Chair and look forward to serving again in 2025. A certified McGown instructor, I enjoy teaching all types of rug hooking.  Recently retired I have been asked what I plan to do in my second act?  That's easy, share, mentor, learn and create!
